unapparent disabilities

Disabilities not immediately or readily apparent to others. A term used for those disabilities that may be thought of as invisible, hidden, or not immediately recognized or perceived by others.

While the terms invisible or hidden disabilities places the burden of the disability not being readily apparent on the person with the disability or on the disability itself, the term unapparent disabilities places the onus on other or society. Do not hyphenate the prefix un- before apparent.
