Euphemisms such as differently abled, special abilities, special needs, others for a disabled person should be avoided. Some people do use such terms to describe themselves or are the cultural norm in some countries.

In some cases, allow other terms when in a quote or when a person describes themselves using a euphemism.

However, OAJ suggests following the greater Disability community which is generally embracing the word disabled. Therefore,  use the words disabled, disabled person, etc. in a identity-first language style.

Note: When discussing the Disability community, or the movements such as Disability Rights or Disability Justice movements, capitalize the word disability.
